Patti BergUSA Today bestselling author Patti Berg is, and always has been, a romantic at heart. Long, long ago, when she was just a wee bit of a thing, she spent her nights dreaming about Paul McCartney and Davy Crocket and during the day put pen to paper and turned those dreams into passion-filled stories she shared with her lovelorn and giggly girlfriends. Thirty years later she sold her first novel to Avon Books, a light paranormal called ENCHANTED. Her romantic dreams continued and so did her stories--thirteen to be exact, and seven of those have appeared on national bestseller lists and brought her accolades from near and far. Patti is a past president, secretary and newsletter editor of Sacramento's Valley Rose Chapter of RWA and is currently serving as president of PASIC, Romance Writers of America's Published Authors' Special Interest Chapter. When not writing or doing writer stuff, Patti hangs out in the farthest reaches of northern California with her husband of thirty years and their Bernese mountain dog Barkley!

Pamela BrittonWith over a million books in print, Pamela Britton likes to call herself the best known author nobody’s ever heard of. Of course, that’s begun to change thanks to a certain licensing agreement with that little racing organization known as NASCAR. Nowadays it’s not unusual to hear her NASCAR licensed books being discussed by the likes of Jay Leno, Charles Gibson, or Stephen Colbert, or mentioned in magazines such as Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, or Vanity Fair.
When not following the race circuit, Pamela writes full-time from her ranch in Northern California where she lives with her husband, daughter and, at last count, twenty-one four-legged friends.
If you'd like to chat with Pamela you can find her on her message board at www.pamelabritton.com where she loves to hangout with her readers. Or visit her Myspace at www.myspace.com/pamela_britton. You can write to her, too, at: P.O. Box 804, Cottonwood, CA 96022.

Susan CrosbySusan Crosby has written more than 20 romance and women’s fiction novels since her writing career started in 1993, and is the winner of several writing awards.
Susan enjoys writing about people who take a chance on love, sometimes against all odds. She loves warm, strong heroes; good-hearted, self-reliant heroines . . . and happy endings.
Melinda CurtisAward winning author Melinda Curtis has always been an avid reader of just about anything – romance, mystery, suspense, fantasy, biographies – and always loved to write. She wrote her first romance in the seventh grade, featuring her girlfriend and then heartthrob, Leif Garrett. She lost track of Leif (he didn’t marry her girl friend), Melinda did, however, end up with her own hero, a man who makes her tremendously happy while simultaneously driving her crazy - although he has help from their three kids, two rambunctous labs and their bevy of relatives. Since 2003, writing for Harlequin's Superromance line has been an enjoyable escape - although you'll often find a spunky kid, beloved relative or ball-crazy dog in her novels...she can't quite get away from her loved ones completely.

Delilah DawsonI've always loved romance novels, and I can remember back in high school, propping up my science books so that my teachers wouldn't see the steamy novels I had hidden inside. :)
And now I get to write such books! LOL!
These days, I live in California with my wonderful family, and yes, I'm still a voracious reader. I read anything and everything... when I get the time. I've discovered photography and LOVE it!
I do love to hear from you, so if you like, email me at DDawson@DelilahDawson.com.
Sara DennisAh, the romance author. Living in a world of black and white and glamour, silken scarves and satin cushions, having her every whim catered to by a dashing-if-dangerous man.
Don't we wish? (But yes, that really is me.)
Like many authors, I put stories on the page as soon as I knew how to write. I made up epics to pass the time on moves across country and back and spent many hours having adventures. I even got the dogs involved, assigning them roles as sidekicks and foes!
Now I live in Northern California with my husband, cats and horses, dreaming up heroes and heroines who can (and do!) overcome impossible odds.
I'm always interested in hearing from readers and fellow writers. Drop me a line or stop by my blog!

Born in Ohio and raised there and in Rhode Island, I moved to California in high school and now live in the Sacramento area with my husband Paul, my son and my daughter. You may have seen Paul mentioned in many of my book dedications. He’s terrifically supportive and very inspiring. Until recently, we had a sweet dog named Murphy and a charming cat named Scooter. We lost both of them last year to the ravages of old age, but they will live on forever, not only in our hearts, but in Murph’s case, also in my September 2006 Bombshell SPIN CONTROL, which was dedicated to him and stars a little puppy named Murphy. (Meanwhile, my daughter recently brought home a long-haired Chihuahua puppy named Peanut, and even though we weren’t really ready for another dog yet, the little devil has charmed us completely.)
I’m an attorney as well as a writer. I also love to cook. For relaxation, I write stories that will never, ever sell but that I just love playing around with. As you can imagine, I love to read, although I don’t do enough of it any more. I adore movies and am addicted to several TV shows. Currently, I’m into Rome, Heroes, 24, and Supernatural, with a couple of situation comedies thrown in for good measure.
I’m not very good at keeping my website up to date, but please visit my blog (http://katedonovan.livejournal.com ), where I try to post the latest trials and tribulations. Thanks!
Bobbie FiteAlmost every novel begins in the author¹s imagination with a question: "what if...?" Bobbie¹s first "what if" came while she was watching a movie about a man who claimed to be psychic in order to avoid suspicion for a murder he had committed. She asked herself, what if a person really did witness a crime in a psychic vision? With that question, a dream was born. While working full-time for the State of California, she studied books on writing, subscribed to "Writer's Digest", went to workshops, took college classes, and joined Romance Writers of America and the Sacramento Valley Rose RWA chapter. NIGHTMARES was e-published in 2002 and was a finalist for the Best Mystery of the Year EPPIE, an award sponsored by EPIC, the Electronically Published Internet Connection. Bobbie is currently putting the final touches on an historical romance set in Laramie, Wyoming in 1871, and marketing a suspense story about a group of people trapped in a fallen-down building during a stormy Christmas eve.
Susan GrantRITA award winner and New York Times best-selling author Susan Grant loves writing about what she knows: flying, adventure, and the often unpredictable interaction between the sexes. One of the first women in history to graduate from the USAF Academy, Susan served in the military as an instructor pilot, achieving the rank of captain. Now a commercial airline pilot, Susan flies 747 jumbo jets to China, Australia, Europe, and many other exotic overseas destinations where she finds plenty of material for her novels.
Tracey J. LyonsTracey Lyons has been writing romances for over twenty years. She made her first sale, MOUNTAIN JEWEL, to Kensington Publishing for their Precious Gems Historical romance line on 9/9/99. This was the day everyone thought all the computers would stop working, lucky for Tracey they didn’t! She went on to sell three more historical romances to Avalon Books, these sold on her mother’s birthday. A SURPRISE FOR ABIGAIL, LYDIA’S PASSION and MAKING OVER MAGGIE are titles in the Women of Surprise series. Strangely enough all of “The Calls” came while her husband was out of town; Tracey thinks it’s time for him to go away on business again!
A native of Upstate New York, Tracey and her husband recently left their eleven acre mini-estate to make the move to Northern California. They have two grown sons who stayed back east. When she is not traveling across the country to visit her family, Tracey is busy writing. Using her expertise as a wine lover Tracey is currently developing a quirky contemporary series set in California’s wine country.
Tracey holds membership in Romance Writers of America, Sacramento Valley Rose RWA, Black Diamond RWA, Published Authors Special Interest Chapter, and the Capital Region RWA where she was the founding President.
Terry McLaughlinTerry McLaughlin never wanted to be a writer, even after a college professor suggested she give it a try (her response contained the words “root canal”). But after reading her first romance novel, she got hooked on the genre. She still can’t explain exactly what happened during that first flush of her romance with romance, but she realized she’d found a way to please her professor while indulging her new obsession with happily-ever-after stories.
After finaling in the Golden Heart in 2003 and 2004, Terry sold her 2005 Golden Heart finalist, Learning Curve, to one of the contest judges. Her three-book Bright Lights, Big Sky series for Harlequin Superromance quickly followed.
Terry lives with her husband on a tiny ranch on the northern California coast, tucked amid the redwoods.

Linda NeedhamI started on the winding road to romance writing in 1972 with an overcooked Thanksgiving turkey and my nose buried in a delicious copy of Kathleen Woodiwiss's first novel. Reading has always been one of my favorite obsessions, but The Flame and the Flower fused the passion of history with the enchantment of romance, and from then on, I was hooked. Nearly twenty-five years and thousands of romances later, my own first novel--For My Lady's Kiss--was released by Avon Books in February 1997.
For My Lady's Kiss won the 1995 Romance Writers of America's Golden Heart for Long Historical, after winning first place in six other romance writing competitions and taking second and third places in six other competitions. The book sold to Avon, along with a one-line proposal for a second book, in September, 1995. I attribute much of my writing success to the unflagging support and encouragement of Romance Writers of America and from my fellow romance writers.
Brenda NovakWhen Brenda Novak caught her daycare provider drugging her children with cough medicine to make them sleep, she quit her job as a loan officer to stay home with them. She felt she could no longer trust others with their care. But she still had to work. Her husband’s business was failing. That was when Brenda picked up one of her favorite books. She was looking for a brief escape from the stress and worry—and found the inspiration to become a writer.
Since her first novel came out in November of 1999, Brenda has managed to write 24 more books--in between helping her five children with homework, running them to guitar lessons, drum lessons, baseball, soccer, softball, and basketball and helping her youngest son manage his diabetes. Other than watching one of her sons pitch a perfect inning or one of her daughters hit another homerun, writing, reading and traveling are Brenda's favorite hobbies. She also sponsors an on-line auction to benefit diabetes research on her website each May (www.brendanovak.com), which grows bigger each year and has become a real labor of love.
Winner of the Booksellers Best and nominated for RT BOOKclub Magazine's Storyteller of the Year in 2005, Brenda continues to write dramatic, sophisticated, unforgettable stories.
Kate PerryWhen Kate was a little girl, all she dreamt about was moving to France and living in a stone castle while painting the Provencal countryside. To prep herself, she studied French, stocked up on berets in every color, and practiced her shrug for hours in front of the mirror.
But then, because indentured servitude seemed more attractive than eating baguettes and drinking wine, she took a detour into the world of high tech. Mostly, she worked as a lackey for companies like C|NET and ClearStation/E*TRADE. In those years, she developed interactive online tutorials, designed training programs, and published education articles and product-training manuals. Eventually, that insanity wore off and she decided to try something more stable. Writing seemed the logical choice.
Unfortunately Kate doesn't own her castle yet, but she holds out hope that one day soon she can pull her berets out of storage.
Eileen RendahlI grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska. Okay, so I wasn't born there. I was born in Dayton, Ohio, but moved when I was four, and who remembers anything from before they were four? Except I do remember I was born at the Good Samartian Hospital across the street from Baskin Robbins because they sent me a coupon for a free ice cream cone every year until I was twelve. I make a point of remembering anything that has to do with ice cream. Or chocolate. Or champagne.
After many moves (St. Louis, Boston, Madison, Chicago, Phoenix) and many jobs (art gallery assisant, editorial assistant, copywriter, communications manager, graphic designer, ceramics studio slave), I now write and live in Davis, California, with my two lovely children, two annoying cats, and one lovely man.

Karen SandlerKaren Sandler fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a full-time writer when she moved with her husband and two sons from the congestion of Los Angeles to the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills in Northern California. After four years of submissions and rejections, she finally sold her first book in 1997. She's sold more than a dozen since then. In addition to writing novels, Karen is also a screenwriter and filmmaker, and has written and produced two short films.
Sue Swift/Suz de MelloBest-selling, award-winning author Sue Swift has written over a dozen books and stories. Kimberly Van MeterAn avid reader since before she can remember, Kimberly Van Meter started her writing career at the age of 16 when she finished her first novel, typing late nights and early mornings, on her mother’s old portable typewriter. Although that first novel was nothing short of literary mud, with each successive piece of work her writing improved to the point of reaching that coveted published status. A journalist (who during college swore she’d never write news), Kimberly has worked for both daily and weekly newspapers, covering multiple beats including education, health and crime, but she always dreamed of writing novels and someday saying goodbye to her nonfiction roots. In addition to writing, reading, and drinking hot chocolate by the windowsill when it rains, Kimberly enjoys photography. The oldest of four siblings and the mother of three children, Kimberly divides her time between football games, swim meets, diaper changes, and deadlines.
